My research subject is the improvement of software building and maintaining activity. In this goal, the Aglae action that I lead, works on object-oriented design and programming with emphasis on documentation, testing and Trusted Software Components production methodologies.
I have been associate researcher in GELO Laboratory at "Université de Montréal" (Quebec, Canada) in 1999 and 2000 and in Triskell project at IRISA (Rennes France) in 1999-2002. The collaboration with this teams continues.
I distribute under GPL several software tools, that are issued of actual or early researches:

I teach programming techniques (object-oriented programming whith
Eiffel, Java and Python) and software
engineering (Software Quality and project management). Besides, I take place
in adult teaching, master-thesis level and in undergraduate at University ant
IUT..
I work also on new teaching technologies that use the NICT: use of web in programming training and projects management (project and problem based learning).

In the past I was member of the "Scientific Council" of UBS (6 years), of the "CARI" of UBS (computer and net resources service Council) (3years) and "Computer Sciences CSE" (12 years).
I received an engineering degree in Agronomy from the ENSAR in 1971. For 15 years, I have been a teacher and a researcher in Soils Mechanics (Civil engineering) at INSA of Rennes. During this period, I have used computers for test control and I have written a real time, multi-task operating system. Between 1980 and 1986, I have driven a large technology transfer ANVAR project and approached Software Engineering and Software Quality.
In 1986, I decided to work exclusively on Computer Sciences. I found the Computer Science Department of IUT at Vannes and I lead it for 6 years.
I have contributed to the founding of several computer sciences curses at Vannes (DU-IA, IUP-GIS). For the last few years, I have worked to develop the research in Computer Sciences at UBS and I founded with the master level DESS-ASIR curse (2002-2005) and the MII Master (Master in Software Engineering); I contributed also to the definition on a new Computer Sciences Engineers School.
I love nature, dance, music and photography (also my wife and my sons)
I play clarinet and drums in a britain folk music band "Pouëvr'et Seu" and, in this activity,
I use the ABC music
format
