Software Architecture
In the theme "Software Architecture", research focuses on software engineering and
software systems architecture. The purpose is to specify reliable, adaptive, and maintainable
components models. These research activities are organized in three complementary groups:
-
The ARCHLOG group focuses its research on the definition and
development of languages, processes, and tools to support the continuous description, analysis
and refinement of software architectures.
-
When software is designed semi-formally, key activities are software testing and refactoring.
The ALCC group focuses its research on developing
new techniques for improving component-based design for testing and refactoring software
architectures.
-
In order to support non-regression of software qualities between successive versions,
the SE group focuses its research on formally
documenting the links between extra-functional requirements and the architectural decisions
that implement them.
